State Rep. Tom Kunse on Thursday reminded everyone to mark their calendars for the upcoming annual Legislative Softball Game for charity. The event is scheduled for June 5 at Jackson Field in Lansing. Kunse is joined by Rep. Alabas Farhat, D-Dearborn, in hosting the bipartisan game.

“Last year was a success, but this year we want to fill Jackson Field,” said Kunse, R-Clare. “Things can get tense in Lansing, but we’re all here because we want to make things better. The Legislative Softball Game allows us to throw politics aside, embrace bipartisanship, and raise money for a really important organization.”

The 2024 Legislative Softball Game charity is Ele’s Place, a facility dedicated to aiding grieving kids through a range of services, including peer-to-peer support groups and bereavement counseling.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with the first pitch set for 6:30 p.m. Entry is free, but concessions will be available for purchase.

Kunse represents the 100th House District, which includes Mecosta, Osceola, and parts of Lake, and Clare counties.
